Psychedelic Breakfast

Paul Asbury Seaman The variety on this live album is impressive and showcases the versatility the late, great “Cosmic” Hoffmann-Hoock could wrangle from his axes. Compare the whimsical acoustic guitar on “Mom Medley” to the world fusion of “Ganges,” with its striking similarity to classic Popol Vuh, updated for the new century. (The surprise cover of Pink Floyd’s “Set the Controls for…” is a real treat.) I’m thankful that some of his legacy is preserved so well on this album. Favorite track: Ganges.

about

All songs were played live on December 15, 2002, during the Schallwende EM-Breakfast in Düsseldorf. Thanks to the Schallwende crew and everybody who helped to make this event possible. And another big THANK YOU to the kind audience that loves to see, hear and feel music being made by hearts, mouths and hands. Keep the music alive!
